We the members of School of Nursing & Health Sciences in association with Bhagwan Buddha Charitable Blood Bank organized a Blood Donation Camp on 4th October, 2018
It began at around 10:00 am with the arrival of Hon’bleVice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr) R. D. Sharma and Respected Registrar sir Prof. (Dr) Jayanand followed by other dignitaries, HOD’s Faculties, staffs and most importantly the young and energetic (donors)students of NIU which continued up to 4:00pm, with a steady stream of donors throughout
The corridor of the first floor of the Issac Newton building (SON&HS) was abuzz with young donors chatting with each other, happy to be able to play their part in lending a helping hand to people in the region.
The Blood donation camp was responsibly supervised and guided by our respected Director Sir (SON&HS) Dr. Simon who was also the first donor to begin the ‘act of random kindness’ along with the other competent subordinates (Ms. Jyoti Chaudhary, Dr. Ajoke Akinola, Mr. Ketan, Prof. Senthil P.Kumar, Mr. Ajab Singh were the chief coordinating members for the successful Blood donation camp.
About 104 units of blood were donated carefully sealed and was transported and about 64 other donors were rejected. Throughout the whole day, there were smiles and laughter all around – a true embodiment of what we believe in – selfless service with a smile.
